My Process - From inquiry to your final gallery

Enquiry

Please contact me with your inquiry.

Details for this can be found on the 'Contact' page. Please let me know any queries you have.

Booking

Once you have chosen your package, we can discuss the logistics and my availability. I will then send you my Booking Ts and Cs to review. Once your deposit has been received, your date is reserved especially for you.

Picture time

I will let you know on the day when I am on my way to you. Once I arrive, set up is very quick, giving as much time possible to capture those precious moments. You can choose your favourite outfits and accessories from my newborn wardrobe and add in any of your own outfits and items. Settling your baby on to my comfy beanbag, I will gently move your baby into positions throughout the photoshoot, pausing when your baby needs feeding, changing or a cuddle. Once the session is over, the full balance is to be paid and then we say good bye for now.

Delivering your gallery

Once I get home I will send you a quick message to let you know how many photos I manged to capture of your little one, as they upload on to my computer for editing. After a few days you will receive a few sneak-peek pictures from the photoshoot. Once all your photos are carefully edited I will let you know they are ready. You will be sent a link to your gallery where you can view and download all the images.

FAQs

Do you provide outfits?

Yes. For all newborn packages I provide outfits, accessories and props. They are all neutral to keep the focus on your baby. However, If you would like to add any outfits or sentimental item of your own, I would be delighted to include them.

Are all the costs included in your packages?

Yes. Everything is included in the cost, there are no hidden fees. However, due to the  equipment I bring with me for the photoshoot,  I require parking within a reasonable walking distance. If you do not have a drive or free parking on your road, I would ask you to provide a permit or pay for parking for the duration of the photoshoot. This is all agreed before your deposit is paid.

My house isn't modern, do you have a studio?

I'm afraid I don't have a studio and there is a really good reason for this. . I believe photoshoots should be comfortable and stress free for everyone. Being in your own home means there is no need to travel with your new baby or young children. No, need for a huge space, just a small space by a window for natural light is all I need. There really is no worry if you don't have a  neutral or modern home, if you have a plain wall that's ideal but if not, I can cover your space with my neutral blankets and backdrops and suddenly your home is transformed into a beautiful studio.

I'm happy with just 50 photos. Can I have family photos included in the basic package?

This is the question I get asked most often. The answer is, I'm afraid not and there is a really good reason for that. It's not about the number of photos (in fact your may get more than you have paid for). It is about the time needed to produce the photos. Due to feeding, changing and settling your baby the photos of your baby almost always take 3 hours. With the family photoshoot, although it only takes an additional hour, often produces just as many photos . Therefore, including family photographs,  effectively doubles the editing time required to create your final gallery. To ensure every image receives the  care and attention it deserves, family photos are offered as an upgrade rather than included in the basic package. If capturing those special family moments is important to you (and they are so precious), please consider the premium package.

What should I wear for the photoshoot?

Honestly, the most important thing is that you feel happy, comfortable and confident in whatever you choose to wear. However, for that extra special time-less look I recommend that every one wears plain neutral clothes that compliment each other. Think neutral or pastel colours. Some times adding a little bit of contrast can help add depth to a photo, so one parent in white and the other in beige or brown. It's best not to choose something with a strong pattern or bold colour as it can really distract from the most important thing in the picture, your baby, subtle emotional expressions and the connection between you all.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel my photoshoot?

I completely understand that sometimes plans change, particularly with newborns. In order to be able to reserve a date specifically for you and your family, I do require a 25% non-refundable deposit at booking. You're welcome to reschedule your session up to 48 hours before your photoshoot and your deposit will be carried forward to your new date. However, if you cancel altogether or need to reschedule with in 48 hours of your session, the deposit will be forfeited, as it covers the time set aside especially for you.
